SBC in Conflict: Training Module for Polio Outbreak Response

This training module equips participants with the knowledge and tools to integrate Social and Behavior Change (SBC) strategies into polio eradication efforts in conflict-affected areas. It provides actionable insights for addressing challenges in fragile contexts.

Key components include:

  • Stages of SBC programming: situation analysis, strategy design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Approaches to build trust, address misinformation, and respond to community concerns in insecure areas.
  • Successful strategies from countries like Nigeria, Pakistan, and DRC, including localized interventions and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Risk mitigation measures to adapt interventions during implementation.

Readers can use this module to enhance their capacity for designing and executing SBC interventions in conflict-affected settings, ensuring effective immunization outcomes.

For a broader roadmap on integrating conflict perspectives into SBC, see the "Integrating a Conflict Lens into SBC Programming for Polio Campaigns."
